1:2:1 Teaching Assistant Vacancy

Salary: Grade 4 Teaching Assistant

Hours: 23 hours per week (8:30am – 3:30pm, 4 days per week), term time only

Contract: Permanent

Start Date: January 2026 (asap if more suitable)

Closing date: 05.12.25.

Interview date: 10.12.25.

Bosham Primary School is a warm, inclusive, and community-focused village school situated on the beautiful West Sussex coast. We currently have 207 pupils on roll and pride ourselves on providing a nurturing environment where every child is supported to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

 

About the Role:

We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team. To provide dedicated 1:1 support for a child with specific needs within our EYFS setting, helping them to access the curriculum and thrive. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference to a child’s learning journey.

 

The successful candidate will:

  • Work closely within the classroom team to implement strategies that support the child’s leaning and development.
  • Provide dedicated individualised support to a child as outlined in their Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
  • Collaborate with parents and carers to maintain a strong partnership and ensure consistency between home and school.
  • Assist the child in accessing the EYFS curriculum both indoors and outdoors.
  • Contribute to the inclusive and caring ethos of our school.
  • This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping children to flourish in all areas of school life.
  • Be willing to support the school during lunchtime as a MDMS.

 

 

About You:

 

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is compassionate, patient, and empathetic.
  • Demonstrates a caring and positive attitude towards children and learning.
  • Is flexible, adaptable, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Has good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Has experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs (desirable not essential)
